Fally by Nite was first posted in March this year. The contents- whatever name
they claim to be written under- are all by Redrum Frank, my online avatar in the
game RuneScape.
How did it start? In Catherby, late at night, spinning yarns and tall tales of a
RuneScape that never was in the persona of my character- 'brother' to the
in-game character Redbeard Frank. Some wanted to murder me, but a few entreated
me not to stop talking for any reason; and I always play to the few.
Since then it has been updated every month at least once, and the index page
counter eternally tweaked. In June I gave up the idea of updating it weekly, but
have since returned anything I cut out to the Suggestions page, a junkyard of
bits n pieces. So right now most everything that ever was on it is on it again.
If you've never played the game- and maybe if you have- this is all gibberish.
But if it isn't, bend your ear further to hear my influences in these tales-
Conan Doyle, PG Woodhouse, Robert Newton's salty portrayal of Long John Silver
in Disney's Treasure Island, Commander McBragg, 1930's mystery films, and of
course Monty Python and even the game RuneScape.
The best responses I have had were from the Jagex support, who liked the
geneaology picture on the Chapters 1-3 page and said they would keep and eye on
news from the Daily Slaughter (Redrum's imaginary newspaper).

every time I write an article, whizzing around checking 'facts'.
And Hiker of Runevillage, patient as a Lunalady, creator of the only RuneScape
sight whose forums I can stand to read.
